- Airports in the Midwest were the most affected by the the powerful winter storm
- Already, 363 flights scheduled for Friday within the US have also been axed
- The storm dropped snow, fleet and freezing rain on much of the Midwest and parts of the South
- It will move into the Northeast on Wednesday night, weather officials say
- The governors of Kentucky and Missouri declared a state of emergency
- New York Gov. Kathy Hochul has directed agencies to prepare emergency plans
