- The selected businesses could enjoy of three months of free rent and a $20,000 award to use for interior design and setup expenses and merchandising
- Only five business will be given the vacant spaces on the intersection of 16th Street and Champa, one of the most concentrated pockets of drugs and crime
- In 2021, more than 53 drug-related crimes were reported in the area, amid an overall crime surge in the Mile-High City
- In Denver, robberies are up 75percent and drug-related crimes are up 26.8 percent in the year to date compared to the same period in 2022
