People's Convoy reroutes after Arizona sees up to a foot of snow - but truckers insist they'll still arrive on schedule this Friday in DC as they take their COVID mandate protest to the White House
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] - The People's Convoy was forced to revise its cross-country route due to inclement weather in Arizona
- The convoy, which aims to protest COVID mask and vaccine mandates, is heading to Washington DC after departing California on Wednesday
- The group has also called on the federal government to end the National Emergency enacted at the start of the pandemic in 2020
- The People's Convoy is expected to arrive in DC on March 5 where it will be joined by around 25 other truck cavalcades
- DC leaders have increased police presence in the city and plan to reinstall the fencing that surrounded the Capitol complex for much of 2021
- The Pentagon also authorized the deployment of 700 members of the National Guard to the capital city ahead of the convoy's arrival
