ISIS claims operations against SDF in Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, ISIS, through media close to it, claimed two operations against the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the town of al-Busayrah, 35 km east of Deir ez-Zor, east Syria. ISIS close Amaq News Agency published a statement in which it said that ISIS militants attacked a military checkpoint of SDF with rocket-propelled grenades and machine guns at the entrance to the village of Mashikh, west of al- Busayrah. The attack damaged the SDF checkpoint, while ISIS militants withdrew, according to Amaq. The statement was followed by another one, in which ISIS claimed it had stormed the house of a member of the Syrian Democratic Forces and shot him , which led to his injury, while the militants of the organization fled. Recently, the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor has witnessed the increase in cases of killing of SDF members, employees of the Autonomous Administration, tribal dignitaries and civilians. Two days ago, unidentified gunmen stormed an SDF members’ house in the town of Abu Hamam in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, and shot him dead with a silencer pistol.
