- The late suspect was armed with a 'metal stake' and 'smashed out several windows to the backside' of the residence to gain entry, cops said
- Two Secret Service agents involved in the shooting have been hospitalized and are being 'evaluated.' Their injuries are non-life-threatening, police said
- The Secret Service said that its officers were responding to 'a reported intruder' at the embassy, which serves as the private residence of Peru's US ambassador
- The incident is being investigated by Secret Service, cops said Wednesday. Police are also participating in the investigation
