Texas judge hits panic button in court after brother of murder victim, 16, shot 22 times in back while walking her dog tried to attack suspect as he was freed on house arrest
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] - Diamond Alvarez, 16, was shot 22 times on January 11 as she walked the family dog, Peanut, near their Houston home
- Her on-off boyfriend Frank DeLeon, 17, was arrested and charged with her murder, and freed on a $250,000 bond
- DeLeon was taken into custody on Monday after the ankle monitor he wore reported that he had left his home, where he is under house arrest
- On Thursday DeLeon was back in court and freed again after a judge accepted that the ankle monitor was likely faulty
- Alvarez's brother Abel lunged at DeLeon in court, and Judge Hazel Jones hit the panic button to call for security to escort Abel out of the courtroom
- Alvarez's mother, Anna Machado, said she was frightened for the safety of the family because DeLeon lives two minutes away: 'He's laughing at us,’ she said
