Day 70 of invasion; day 16 of Battle of Donbas
from understandingwar.orgvery little change in territory held since yesterday some consolidation of Ukraine gains near Kharkiv some minor advances by Russia in center of Donbas; Russia has probed in a half dozen or so spots in past 2 weeks making as much as 10 km of advance in some cases, but each time Ukraine forces have eventually stopped them a hundred sq meters or two or so of additional territory captured by Russia in Mariupol -- Russia seems to want to hold a victory parade in Mariupol on May 9; Does Russia underestimate the forces needed to secure the route???
