Ottoman Turkish military and its affiliated Syrian opposition armed factions, known as Syrian National Army (SNA), renewed on Wednesday shelling of villages southeast of Afrin in Aleppo northern countryside, north Syria.

The Ottoman Turkish forces, stationed in Maryamin village, shelled the village of Shawargha in Afrin countryside with tanks, a military source told North Press.

 and its affiliated factions since 2018 following a military operation called "Olive Branch".

The source added that the shelling caused material destruction of about 10 houses in the village.

About 40 villages south and southeast of Afrin in Aleppo northern countryside house Afrin IDPs who fled their homes following the Ottoman Turkish operation.

In the same context, the Ottoman Turkish military and its affiliated armed factions shelled on Wednesday evening the villages of Aqiba and Ebbin in Aleppo northern countryside.
