Indiana man shoots two intruders dead, holds others at gunpoint
[Washington Examiner] A homeowner in Indiana shot two intruders dead and detained two others at gunpoint while waiting for police to arrive after a gang of burglars broke into his home.At least four individuals were armed when they broke into the homeowner's DeKalb County residence Sunday morning around 6:00 a.m., Indiana State Police said. The homeowner greeted them with a firearm and began firing, according to a report. Two intruders, identified as Rameica Moore, 36, and Dylan Morefield, 22, were killed. Two others, identified as Tabitha Johnson, 42, and Shaun Kruse, 42, were held by the man at gunpoint until police arrived. They were then taken into custody and booked into DeKalb County Jail on felony murder and burglary charges, the report noted. Someone can be charged with murder if an individual dies while they are in the act of committing a felony, according to Indiana law, a report noted. Autopsies are pending on the deceased intruders, and an investigation into the incident is ongoing. The homeowner is facing no charges relating to the incident, police said.
