 [Daily Mail, where America gets its news] - An unknown number of thieves stole a golden tabernacle from a Brooklyn church between Thursday night and Saturday, the NYPD reported
- They cut a giant rectangular hole in the tabernacle's casing before pulling out the $2million jeweled structured
- It is unclear how they managed to lift the life-size items or how they transported it from the church
- The brazen thieves also decapitated an angel statute in the church and it is unclear where the head is now
- The incident is just one of numerous crimes happening in the Big Apple as of late, with overall crime up 39 percent
