Scientists may have identified a key biological marker in psychopaths
[News Jungle] Scientists may have discovered a biological way to detect this Difference between psychopaths and non-psychopaths. The biological marker is essentially a difference in the way certain parts of the brain form in psychopathic individuals. As a result of this research, they now believe that the size of a person’s striatum could be a psychopathic marker to identify those with psychopathic tendencies.
Neuroscientists from three different universities discovered the psychopathic marker. They used magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans to look for markers in the brains of both psychopathic and non-psychopathic people.
They published their findings on biological psychopathic markers in the Journal of Psychiatric Research back in March 2022. Essentially, they found that psychopaths had a 10 percent larger striatum than those in a control group of non-psychopaths
