Uvalde school district says it will hire MORE police officers to patrol campuses in the wake of the mass shooting where 19 elementary school children and two teachers were massacred
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Barn, horse. - Uvalde School Superintendent Dr. Hal Harrell announced on Thursday that the district is reviewing its security procedures following the shooting on May 24
- He said district officials are developing 'a list of actions we can take to strengthen security on all of our campuses'
- One way to do that, he said, would be to hire more police officers to be assigned to each campus for the upcoming school year
- He refused to answer questions about whether he still trusts Police Chief Pete Arredondo or whether students should feel safe in school next year
- His announcement comes weeks after an 18-year-old gunman was able to enter Robb Elementary School and kill 19 students and two teachers
- Uvalde police stood back for more than an hour during the massacre, and a federal investigation into the police response is ongoing
