- They were both relieved of their duties 'due to a loss of confidence in their ability to effectively function as a command leadership team'
- Cmdr. Matthew McCormick, head of Electronic Attack Squadron, was fired on June 8 'due to loss of confidence in his ability to command'
- The Navy did not provide additional details as to why the officers were fired
