What the Saudis think about when they think about peace with Israel
From a few days ago. [IsraelTimes] Their newly opened airspace has nothing to do with Israel, they say, and normalization can’t happen until there’s a Paleostinian state. But actually, obviously, it’s all about Iran.As of this writing, Israeli planes are not yet routinely overflying Saudi airspace to and from India, China and other destinations. This year, at least, Israeli Moslems were not able to take Israeli charter flights direct from Ben Gurion Airport to Saudi Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. Fifteen of the nineteen WTC hijackers were Saudis, and most major jihadi commanders were Saudis, to include Osama bin Laden. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman quietly folded that tent in 2016, doing terrible things to the guys running it, and has since been dragging the kingdom into the current century... for the hajj.
