Maryland county implements 30-day CURFEW for children under the age of 17 after 'deadliest' month in decades: Cops say 24 people were murdered in August including boy, 15, shot outside 7-Eleven

  • Children aged 17 and under must be indoors from 10pm-5am on weeknights and Sundays, and from midnight to 5am on Friday and Saturday

  • The curfew will be in place for 30 days in what Angela Alsobrooks, executive for Prince George's County, termed a 'cooling down' period

  • Alsobrooks noted an 'eye-popping' 430 arrests of juveniles this year so far - nearly double the number last year

  • There have also been 84 arrests of young people for carjackings so far this year - almost the same figure as for the entire 12 months of 2021

  • Parents of young people found out after curfew will be fined and risk having their children taken into care if they do not respond to correspondence
PG County is a mostly Wakandan suburb of DC. I think they had an OK Corral-style shootout there the other night.
