Eric Adams' migrant camp begins to take shape: Trucks arrive in the Bronx to begin construction of HUGE tent city for 1,000 migrants being bused to NYC by Texas - despite the borough president and locals' huge opposition
- New York City has seen 13,000 mainly Latino migrants arrive from Texas since the Texan governor began bussing them from the border last month
- Eric Adams, the mayor of New York, last week announced he was opening two tented camps for them, with the aim being they stay only 96 hours
- The two massive tents - one on Orchard Beach in the Bronx, the other at an as-yet undetermined location - are in addition to 6,000 hotel rooms
- On Monday, construction workers were seen beginning building the tents to house the migrants
- Vanessa Gibson, Bronx borough president, said she was worried the location of the tent in her borough was not ideal, pointing out it floods
