2 Killed, 4 Injured In Turkish Shelling Of Villages In Syria's Hasakah
[NPASYRIA] Two people were killed while four others were maimed on Tuesday afternoon in Ottoman Turkish shelling of the town of Zirgan (Abu Rasin), north of Hasakah Governorate, northeastern Syria.

A military source told North Press, "Ottoman Turkish forces and their affiliated Syrian opposition factions, known as Syrian National Army (SNA), shelled the villages of al-Mushayrfa, Khadrawi, al-Bobi, Dada Abdal and al-Asadiya in the countryside of Zirgan."

"The shelling of the inhabited village of al-Mushayrfa killed two civilians and maimed four others," the source said, adding that the bombardment also caused material damage to the residents’ properties.

A medical source from the Shahid Khabat Hospital in the city of Derbasiya informed North Press that "The maimed were transferred to the hospitals of Hasakah city," noting that "some of them are seriously injured."

On Monday, the Ottoman Turkish forces shelled outposts of the Syrian government forces in the outskirt of al-Bobi, wounding a soldier as a result.

The Ottoman Turkish bombardment comes a day after targeting the village of al-Dardara in the countryside of Tel Tamr town, north of Hasakah city. The town is located on the contact lines between the Tel Tamr Military Council, affiliated with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), and the Ottoman Turkish forces and allied SNA factions.
