- Other low scorers were Fort Lauderdale, Florida, San Bernardino, California, Detroit, Michigan, and Baton Rouge, Louisiana
- Study uses 42 indicators, covering everything from wildfires to the number of uninsured drivers on the road
- Also measured were crime rates, joblessness, and Covid-19 vaccination rates
- 'Some cities are simply better at protecting their residents from harm,' said researchers
