US Army tests DRONES to deliver blood and medical supplies in battlefield situations where it's too dangerous to send more soldiers
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] - The US Army is testing drone delivery of blood and critical medical supplies
- Dubbed Project Crimson, the military tested out the drones during a recent exercise in California
- The FVR-90 drone is a vertical landing and take-off aircraft, so it does not need a runway, and it can fly for up to 18 hours carrying up to 22 pounds of payload
- 'This drone supports medical field care when casualty evacuation isn’t an option,' said Nathan Fisher, who works in medical robotics at the Army
