Southern Transitional Council prepares to expel Saudi-backed government from Aden
[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) supporters on Sunday began arrangements to expel Rashad al-Alimi, President of the Riyadh-formed "Presidential Council", from the city of Aden, southern Yemen...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... This comes a day after al-Alimi arrived in the city after months of living abroad. Activists on social media called on the STC militia to protect a demonstration that is being prepared at Ma’ashiq Palace, while others called on the Attorney General, who is affiliated with the STC, to open an urgent investigation with al-Alimi and his prime minister, Moein Abdulmalik, regarding the recent corruption scandals.
