Senior member of puppet government calls for dismantlement of Southern Transitional Council
[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] Member of the Riyadh-formed Presidential Council, Major General Faraj al-Bahsani, on Thursday stressed the need to dismantle the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC ) militia, the most prominent opponent in southern Yemen...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... This came during a meeting with the security and military committee tasked with integrating the rival factions affiliated with the Saudi-led coalition in southern and eastern Yemen. The meeting was chaired by al-Bahsani. Media reported that al-Bahsani called on the committee to end the division in the ranks of these factions and re-establish them according to national foundations. Al-Bahsani’s demand comes amid tension in Hadhramaut his most prominent stronghold, following the STC’s attempt to blow up the situation militarily there.
