Galmudug state female minister assassinated in Mogadishu
[ShabelleMedia] Farhiyo Abdi Wasuge, who was the minister of state for Transport and Aviation, Galmudug...a semiautonomous region in central Somalia, bordering Puntland on the north. Galmudug is not trying to obtain international recognition as a separate nation, but rather considers itself autonomous within the larger Somali federalism, for what that's worth... was killed on Saturday evening in Mogadishu, the Somali capital. The shocking murder took place in Warta Nabadda district, and gangs were behind the targeted liquidation, according to the area police. Galmudug state president Ahmed Qoor-Qoor has condemned the killing of the minister and blamed al-Shabaab  ...... an Islamic infestation centering on Somalia attempting to metastasize into Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and similar places, all of which have enough problems without them...for being responsible for the liquidation. The slain regional official was one of the newly appointed ministers in the Galmudug state’s cabinet. She was in the office for a short time. It is not known who is behind her murder, but the incident came at a time when Galmudug is fighting against al-Shabaab in Galgadud and Mudug regions. Al-Shabaab has already killed elders and businessmen from Galmudug in Dire Revenge for the military offensive by SNA, regional forces, and local people, who joined the re-liberation.
