2 terrorists killed during exchange of fire in North Waziristan: ISPR
[Dawn] Two bad boyz were potted during an exchange of fire between Death Eaters and security forces in the Esham area of the North Wazoo district, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Thursday.

Following the "intense exchange of fire", weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorists, the ISPR added.

It further said the Death Eaters had remained "actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces".

The ISPR added: "The incident re-vindicates [the] Pakistain Army’s resolve to have zero tolerance for terrorism in Pakistain and reaffirms its determination to take on any and all entities that resort to violence."

The exchange of fire comes after a surge in terrorist activities in the country, especially in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan

According to the Pakistani military, two rebels were killed during a raid on a terrorist hideout in a former Taliban stronghold on Pakistan’s border near Afghanistan.

On Friday, Pakistan officials released a statement that troops had found a weapons cache at a militant hideout in North Waziristan, located in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the northwest of Pakistan.

Pakistani military routinely carries out such raids to find and arrest Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, also known as Taliban Pakistan.

Today’s military raid comes after Friday’s shootout in North Waziristan, a district of the northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
