ISIS Prisoners Escape Syrian-Kurdish Raju Prison Following Earthquake Damage

"Agence La Belle France-Presse" quoted a source at the prison as saying, "At least 20 people managed to escape from the prison, most of whose members are affiliated with the ISIS organization."

The prison is called "Raju" in reference to the Syrian town of Raju in which it is located, and it houses about two thousand prisoners, including about 1,300 suspected of belonging to the ISIS, according to the same source. It is run by the military police of the Syrian opposition factions, and it also houses fighters from Kurdish forces backed by Washington.
