Cornerstone of a Commercial, Cultural Complex for Women Laid in Bamyan Province
[KhaamaPress] Provincial officials in Bamyan province laid the cornerstone of a commercial, cultural and entertainment complex for women worth 56 million Afghanis in the center of the province earlier today.

The foundation of the commercial, cultural and entertainment complex named "Family Park" was laid on Monday, June 5, in the presence of Bamyan governor, provincial officials, representatives of NGOs, women and journalists in the Essa Khan area of the province.

The United Nations
...aka the Oyster Bay Chowder and Marching Society...
High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) will fund the project which includes a vocational training center, a mini-market with 20 shops and a recreational place. The exclusive complex for women will be completed by the end of the year, according to UNHCR officials.

Mawlavi Abdullah Sarhadi, governor of Bamyan province appreciated the UNHCR for funding this complex for women in the province and said the situation is ready for the implementation of development projects to be conducted by NGOs in Bamyan province.

He further added that all national and international organizations can implement their development and infrastructure projects by maintaining neutrality and non-political affiliations.

Sarhadi said that women’s commercial activities have increased quite well over the past two years. With the inauguration of this complex, the business activities of women entrepreneurs in the province will grow many times, he said.

Meanwhile,
...back at the dirigible, the gondola was dangling by a single thread of rope.

Jack! Cynthia cried. I just realized I'm afraid of heights! I don't even like high heels!...

Yumiko Takashima, Deputy Chief of UNHCR said, "This is an immense pleasure to see Afghan women standing alongside men, and we are witnessing the implementation of such a fundamental project to support women in this province."

The fencing of this complex was completed last year. With the cooperation of the provincial authorities and relevant groups, we have been able to initiate the work on a mini-market consisting of 20 shops and a vocational training center, which will be completed by the end of this year, Takashima said.
Will they be able to complete it before the Talibs burn it down?
