- Mayor of LA was not officially notified but was aware of the bus's departure from Brownsville, Texas - they were welcomed by faith and immigrant rights groups
- Texas last sent a bus carrying 42 migrants on LA on June 14 - the state has transported more than 21,600 migrants out of the state since last spring
