Homs: 5 killed of Iran’s Liwa al-Quds in central Syria
[NPASyria] On Monday, five members of Iran-backed Liwa al-Quds ...a.k.a. the Jerusalem Brigade, a Palestinian militia supporting the Assad government... militia were killed and four others were maimed in an armed attack against their vehicles in a town in eastern Homs, central Syria.A military source from Liwa al-Quds told North Press, "Unknown button men targeted a patrol of Liwa al-Quds on the outskirts of al-Sukhna desert, in eastern Homs, with a rocket-propelled grenade and machine guns." The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity for security reasons, added that "the attack resulted in the killing of five members of Liwa al-Quds, all of them Syrians." "Four others were maimed and transferred to Tadmur Hospital and they are now in a critical condition," the source said citing a doctor at the hospital as saying. The source also pointed out that one SUV was burned and another was damaged in the attack. Liwa al-Quds has sent military reinforcements to the area of the attack and launched random arrest campaigns in an attempt to identify the perpetrators.
