IDF: Palestinian gunman killed by Israeli forces during raid in Nablus
[IsraelTimes] Clashes break out as Israeli troops surround home and detain terror suspect in refugee camp in northern West Bank city

An alleged Paleostinian gunman was rubbed out by Israeli forces during a raid in the West Bank city of Nablus on Wednesday, the military and Paleostinian health officials said.

The Israel Defense Forces said troops entered the Ein Beit al-Ma’ refugee camp in the city, also known as al-Ein Camp or Camp No. 1, in order to detain a Paleostinian suspected of involvement in terror activities.

As troops surrounded a home where the wanted Paleostinian was holed up, festivities broke out in the area, according to the military and Paleostinian media reports.

The IDF said Paleostinian button men opened fire toward the Israeli forces, and rioters hurled stones and other objects.

"The forces shot and hit an armed terrorist who fired toward them," the IDF said.

The Paleostinian Authority health ministry said a young man, 23-year-old Muhammad Nada, was fatally shot in the chest by Israeli forces.

No Israeli soldiers were hurt during the raid.

The IDF said the wanted man, named by Paleostinian media as Nour al-Bassiouni, was handed over to the Shin Bet security agency for further questioning

Earlier, the IDF said that troops had detained 32 wanted Paleostinians during overnight sweeps across the West Bank, with violence in some areas. Two assault rifles were seized in the southern West Bank town of ad-Dhahiriya, the IDF said.
Al Ahram names him as Mohammad Abdul Hakim Nada, adding:
The army detained nine people, including a 16-year-old, in Bethlehem, and seven in Tubas.

They also detained eight people from Jenin, three from Al-Bireh, and eight from Jerusalem, including two minors aged 16 and 17.
