Author of Musk biography retreats from claim mogul thwarted Ukraine attack in Crimea
[IsraelTimes] The author of a biography about Elon Musk says he was “mistaken” when he wrote that the tech mogul deactivated his Starlink satellite fleet to foil a Ukrainian attack on a Crimean port.Walter Isaacson now says that while Ukrainians thought Musk had deactivated the system, in actuality it had never been activated in that area, part of a decision made to avoid the system being used for military offensive action.
