Taliban Detain International Organization Staff in Ghor and Transfer Them to Kabul
[8am] Local sources in Ghor province report that Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
members have detained employees of the International Assistance Mission (IAM) in one of the districts of the province.

According to reports from these sources, the Taliban group carried out a raid on the offices of the "International Assistance Mission" in the Lal Wa Sarjangal district of Ghor province on Wednesday, September 13th, and detained all employees of the organization, including both men and women.

Sources indicate that after their detention, the organization’s staff were transported from Ghor to Kabul by Taliban intelligence.

However,
a lie repeated often enough remains a lie...
two different sources have provided conflicting information regarding the number of detained employees. The first source reports 13 individuals, while the second source claims the figure to be 15.

As of now, the Taliban have not issued any official statement regarding the detention of the organization’s staff.

Hasht-e Subh attempted to obtain comments from the organization’s officials regarding the incident but was unsuccessful in their efforts.

IAM was involved in charitable and public-interest projects in Ghor province.

This incident follows previous disruptions of humanitarian aid distribution activities in Ghor due to Taliban interference, resulting in the suspension of operations for several organizations.
