Doomsday prepping goes mainstream: 'Bug out bags' fly off shelves as a third of Americans admit to buying survival kits amid Armageddon fears

- One third of Americans bought prepper supplies like food, water, toilet paper and survival kits at a cost of $11 billion in that period
- Finder said 40 percent of Gen Z said they spent money on doomsday supplies, just beating millennials at 39 percent
