US orders its non-emergency staff to leave Baghdad embassy
[IsraelTimes] The United States says it has ordered non-emergency staff and eligible family members to leave its embassy in Baghdad and its consulate in Arbil, Iraq.The directive, which was announced today but issued Friday, was given "due to increased security threats against US personnel and interests," the State Department says.
