Virginia high school student, 17, is shot dead by her varsity football player ex-boyfriend in horrific murder-suicide just weeks after she sought no-contact order
Serenity Hawley, 17, from Blacksburg, Virginia, was shot dead in a suspected murder-suicide just days before she would have turned 18. The high school senior had sought a no-contact order from her former boyfriend Croney Monk two weeks prior because her ex was allegedly harassing and blackmailing her. Monk allegedly shot Hawley in the chest before turning the gun on himself on Tuesday, the teenage girl's family told 10 News.
