Remembrance ceremonies broken up in Iran
Thousands of people were forced by Iranian security forces to disperse when they, on the evening of September 11, took to the streets of Iranian cities to hold solemn ceremonies to commemorate the first anniversary of the terrorist attacks against the United States. More people "out looking for alk." The Student Movement Coordinating Committee for Democracy in Iran (SMCCDI) reported that attempts to hold remembrance meetings were recorded in Tehran, Shiraz, Hamedan, Kermanshah, and Piranshahr. Demonstrators were chanting âOur condolences to America!â and âDown with Iranian Taliban!â. Police were beating demonstrators. In Tehran, several dozen demonstrators were arrested. I still have to ask, where the hell is this on CNN/Fox/ABC/NBC/CBS? Are they looking forward to sitting around looking surprised when the mullarchy collapses and they don't notice?
