Iraq ready to repel any invasion
Iraq warned the United States it was ready to repel any aggression with every weapon at its disposal, even kitchen knives, sticks and stones. Replying to UN resolutions on Iraq following the 1991 Gulf War calling for Baghdad to get rid of weapons, Iraq demands the UN lift the 12-year-old sanctions imposed on Iraq since 1990. Saying, âFor our part, we ask the United Nations to implement all its resolutions not only those concerned with weapons of mass destructionâ.
