US new aggression targets Yemeni capital of Sana'a, estimated 25% Houthi capacity destroyed

It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... i capital of Sana’a came under a new US aggression as sounds of explosions were heard in the northern side of the city. Yemeni media outlets said Saturday that the US aggression struck al-Dailami Air Base near International Sana’a airport. On Friday, The US-British aggression launched 73 strikes targeting Sana’a and the governorates of Saada, Hajjah, Hodeida and Taiz. The aggression resulted in the martyrdom of five and the injury of six others. In a statement, the official front man for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Yahya Sare’e affirmed that the US and UK bear full responsibility for their criminal aggression against the Yemeni people, stressing that this aggression will not go unanswered and without punishment. He emphasized that the Yemeni Armed Forces will not hesitate to target threat sources and all hostile targets on land and at sea, in defense of Yemen, its illusory sovereignty, and independence.

Al Arabiya TV channel reported this on January 13, citing local sources.  According to Sky News Arabia, the strike hit a military facility in the Al-Katib area, from where the Houthis launched a missile towards the Red Sea. The same air base was attacked by US and allied forces the day before. The US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed information about a new missile strike by US troops against a Houthi target in Yemen - a radar installation. The department clarified that the strike was carried out from the American aircraft carrier Carney using Tomahawk ground attack missiles. It is explained that the purpose of the strike is to worsen the Houthis’ ability to attack sea vessels, including commercial ones. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Citing two US officials, the newspaper says 20-30% of the Houthis offensive capabilities were destroyed or damaged in the attacks, but that many of their weapon platforms are mobile and can be moved around. The officials also say it’s been difficult to locate Houthi targets afters years in which the US and allied intelligence agencies did not make it a priority to gather such information.
