NYC subway conductor is slashed in NECK after sticking head out of train window - as police hunt suspect wearing blue vest

- The conductor had his head out of the window while onboard a southbound A train when an unknown suspect sliced his neck
- Union bosses have described it as attempted murder
- He was taken to the hospital where he received 34 stiches and was later released
