Shoe Bomber to plead guilty, guilty, guilty...
The man accused of trying to blow up a trans-Atlantic flight with explosives hidden in his shoes plans to plead guilty to all eight charges against him, his mouthpiece lawyer said Wednesday. Attorney Owen Walker said Maxwell Smart Richard Reid wanted to avoid the publicity of a trial and the negative impact it would have on his family.
And maybe do a little plea bargaining so he's not 198 years old before he sees the light of day again...
The trial is set to begin Nov. 4. Walker said Reid "has no disagreement with the facts asserted in the charges," but refused to say if any deal had been made for a reduced sentence.
