[EngMilRu] The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation.

The units of the Sever Group of Forces in Liptsy and Volchansk directions have hit units of the AFU 57th Mechanised Infantry Brigade and the 129th Territorial Defence Brigade close to Bochkovo, Volchanskiye Khutora, and Liptsy (Kharkov region).

The AFU losses were up to 115 Ukrainian troops, two motor vehicles, one 122mm D-30 howitzer, and one U.S.-made AN/TPQ-37 counterbattery station.

The units of the Zapad Group of Forces have taken more advantageous lines and positions. The Russian troops have inflicted damage on 3rd, 4th Tank, 63rd, and 66th Mechanised brigades near Pershetravnyovoye, Izyumskoye, Kupyansk (Kharkov region), Krasny Liman, and Torskoye (Donetsk People's Republic). Two counterattacks launched by AFU assault detachments have been repelled.

The enemy losses were up to 405 troops, three motor vehicles, one Polish-made Krab self-propelled artillery system, one Anklav-N electronic warfare station as well as U.S.-made: one M-113 armoured personnel carrier, one 155mm M-198 howitzer, three 105mm M-119 guns, and one AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery station. Six field ammunition depots have been eliminated.

As a result of active and decisive actions, the units of the Yug Group of Forces have liberated Zhelannoye Vtoroye (Donetsk People's Republic).

The Russian troops have inflicted damage on 23rd, 54th, 93rd Mechanised, 56th Mechanised, 10th Mountain Assault brigades and the 18th National Guard Brigade of the AFU and 18th National Guard Brigades close to Reznikovka, Zvanovka, Belaya Gora, and Maksimillyanovka (Donetsk People's Republic). Three counterattacks by assault detachments of the AFU 59th Motorised Infantry Brigade, the 81st Airmobile Brigade, and the 112th Territorial Defence Brigade have been repelled.

The AFU losses were up to 755 Ukrainian troops, nine motor vehicles, one UK-made 155mm FH70 howitzer, two 122mm D-30 howitzers, and U.S.-made 155mm M-198, 155mm M-777 howitzers, and two 105mm M-119 guns.

The units of the Tsentr Group of Forces continued advancing to the depths of enemy defences. The Russian troops have inflicted damage on manpower and hardware of AFU 101st, 151st Mechanised, 142nd Infantry, 95th Air Assault brigades, the 112th Territorial Defence Brigade, and the 12th National Guard Brigade near Dimitrov, Druzhba, Grodovka, Kleban-Byk, and Gornyak (Donetsk People's Republic). Four counterattacks of AFU 53rd, 154th Mechanised, 68th Jaeger, and 25th Air Assault brigades have been repelled.

The enemy losses were up to 490 troops, one Bradley infantry fighting vehicle, one U.S.-made HMMWV armoured fighting vehicle, three motor vehicles, one 152mm D-20 gun, one 152mm Msta-B howitzer, and two 122mm D-30 howitzers.

The units of the Vostok Group of Forces have captured more advantageous lines and inflicted losses on manpower and hardware of 72nd Mechanised, 58th Motorised Infantry brigades of the AFU, and the 125th Territorial Defence Brigade near Dobrovolye, Zolotaya Niva (Donetsk People's Republic) and Levadnoye (Zaporozhye region).

The enemy losses were up to 110 troops, eight motor vehicles, one U.S.-made 155mm M-777 howitzer, and one French-made 155mm Caesar self-propelled artillery system.

The units of the Dnepr Group of Forces have defeated units of the 39th Coastal Defence Brigade, the 124th Territorial Defence Brigade close to Sadovoye and Pridneprovskoye (Kherson region).

The enemy losses were up to 50 troops, two motor vehicles, and one 122mm 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system. Two Anklav-N electronic warfare stations have been destroyed.

Operational-Tactical Aviation, attack unmanned aerial vehicles, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Russian Groups of Forces have engaged one Israeli-made RADA RPS-42 multi-function radar as well as clusters of enemy manpower and military hardware in 146 areas.

Air defence facilities have shot down eight U.S.-made HIMARS MLRS projectiles, three French-made HAMMER aerial guided bombs, and 55 fixed-wing UAVs.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 646 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 32,871 unmanned aerial vehicles, 580 anti-aircraft missile systems, 18,527 tanks and other armoured fighting vehicles, 1,469 MLRS combat vehicles, 15,619 field artillery guns and mortars, and 26,942 units of support military vehicles have been neutralised.

Russian Defence Ministry reports on repelling AFU attempt to invade Russian territory in Kursk region (5 October 2024)

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the operation to neutralise an enemy group, which broke into the territory of Kursk region.

The units of the Sever Group of Forces continues the offensive operation and engaged formations of 22nd, 41st 115th Mechanised brigades, the 17th Tank Brigade, the 95th Air Assault Brigade of the AFU, the 1st National Guard Brigade, the 36th Naval Infantry Brigade, as well as 103rd and 129th Territorial Defence brigades near Daryino, Lyubimovka, Nikolayevo-Daryino, Novy Put, and Plekhovo.

Over the past 24 hours, the Group's units have repelled two enemy counterattacks in the direction of Lyubimovka and Obukhovka, thwarted enemy attempts to attack in the direction of Kamyshevka and Plekhovo. As a result, the AFU losses were up to 50 troops killed and wounded, four armoured fighting vehicles and one motor vehicle. Five AFU servicemen surrendered.

With the support of Army Aviation and artillery, two AFU attempts to break through the border of the Russian Federation in the direction of Novy Put were foiled. The AFU losses were more than 30 troops killed and wounded, one tank, seven armoured fighting vehicles, one counterobstacle vehicle, and one armoured recovery vehicle. Twelve AFU servicemen surrendered.

Army Aviation and artillery have inflicted losses on manpower and hardware clusters of the 22nd, 41st, 61st, 115th Mechanised brigades, the 17th Tank Brigade, 80th, 95th Air Assault brigades, the 1st National Guard Brigade, the 36th Naval Infantry Brigade, 103rd, 112th, and 129th Territorial Defence brigades of the AFU near Bogdanovka, Guyevo, Daryino, Kolmakov, Kubatkin, Kruglenkoye, Lyubimovka, Martynovka, Melovy, Nikolayevo-Daryino, Novy Put, Orlovka, Plekhovo, Tolsty Lug, and Cherkasskoye Porechnoye.

Operational-Tactical Aviation and Missile Troops have delivered strikes in Sumy region at concentration areas and reserves of the 21st, 41st, 47th, 115th Mechanised brigades, the 36th Naval Infantry Brigade, 80th, 95th Air Assault brigades, the 1st National Guard Brigade, 101st, 103rd Territorial Defence brigades near Belovody, Bondarevshchina, Belaya Beryoza, Belokopytovo, Boyaro-Lezhachi, Vodolagi, Katerinovka, Konotop, Miropolye, Mars, Mirlogi, Pavlovka, Obody, Pavlovka, Rechki, Stepanovka, Sumy, Frunzenka, Khoten, Shpil, and Yampol.

Over the past 24 hours, the AFU losses were more than 400 troops, 16 armoured vehicles including one tank and 15 armoured fighting vehicles as well as five artillery guns including one French-made Caesar self-propelled artillery system, one Bogdana self-propelled artillery system, two motor vehicles, one electronic warfare station, one counterobstacle vehicle, and one armoured recovery vehicle. Seventeen AFU servicemen surrendered.

Since the beginning of hostilities in Kursk region, the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost more than 20,650 troops, 136 tanks, 66 infantry fighting vehicles, 98 armoured personnel carriers, 885 armoured fighting vehicles, 582 motor vehicles, 170 artillery guns, 33 MLRS launchers, including eight of HIMARS and six of MLRS made by the U.S., nine SAM launchers, five transport-loading vehicles, 44 electronic warfare stations and nine counter-battery radars, three air defence radars, 22 engineering and other vehicles, including 13 counterobstacle vehicles, one UR-77 mine clearing vehicle, and three armoured recovery vehicles.

The operation to neutralise the AFU units is in progress.
