Suspect attempts to stab soldier near Jerusalem checkpoint, is shot and injured
[israelTimes] A suspect who attempted to stab a soldier near the Hizme checkpoint in Jerusalem was shot and injured, police and medics say.According to police, the assailant got out of a vehicle on Sayeret Dukhifat Street in the capital and brandished a knife as a soldier passed by. The soldier opened fire at the suspect, seriously wounding him. He was taken by medics to a hospital in Jerusalem. Police say the incident was an attempted attack. There are no other injuries.
