Trump refuses to rule out military force to take control of Greenland, Panama Canal
[IsraelTimes] Incoming president comments as son flies into Greenland, says both vital for US interests; also says he will use ‘economic force’ to encourage Canada to unite with US.I’m confused. Is he trolling or moving the Overton Window? One of each? …and the internet provides an answer, though without clarifying if the answer is truth or merely more speculation:
… While I believe he is serious about the strategic importance of Greenland and the Panama Canal, I also believe that he knows that this issue is sensationalistic, dramatic stuff and will suck all of the air out of the news cycle. This in turn will draw attention away from the Hegseth/Tulsi/RFK nominations and will give him the freedom to engage in immediate and drastic actions on 1/21 without the media being able to fully commit their usual journalistic malpractice about what he is doing with executive orders.
