Islamic Emirate Condemns Pakistan's Rocket Attack on Kunar
[ToloNews] The Islamic Emirate has condemned last night’s rocket attack by Pak forces on Sarkano District in Kunar Province...one of the four N2KLprovinces (Nangarhar, Nuristan, Kunar and Laghman). N2KL is the designation used by US and Coalition Forces for the rugged and very violent region opposite Pakistain's Federally Administered Tribal Areas and Northwest Frontier Province. Kunar is the center of the N2KL region. Its population is 95% Pashtun. It is adjacent to Bajaur Agency.. and has called for the cessation of such attacks by Pakistain. Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate, told TOLOnews that such attacks by Pakistain on Afghanistan are not in the interest of either side and harm the relations between the two countries. Mujahid stated: "In Kunar Province, rockets hit certain areas causing casualties. Livestock, in particular, have been killed. We condemn these rocket attacks by Pakistain and demand the cessation of such actions." Pak forces targeted Sarkano District in Kunar with rocket attacks around 1:30 AM last night. These rockets struck residential homes, resulting in the death of 10 livestock and forcing residents to leave their homes. Meanwhile, ...back at the precinct house, Sergeant Maloney wasn't buying it. The whole thing smelled phony, kind of like a dead mackeral but without the scales... some residents of Kunar Province say that such attacks by Pakistain cause severe problems for Afghan citizens. They have urged the Islamic Emirate officials to prevent such attacks. Mahzabullah Mahzab, a resident of Kunar, said: "Sometimes, the Pak government carries out attacks that victimize ordinary people." Parwiz Ghorzang, another resident of Kunar, said: "Pakistain carried out an attack late at night, causing significant difficulties for the people. We urge the government to prevent such attacks."
