The elderly Ghada Karmi, daughter of BBC Arabic Service broadcaster Hasan Karmi, so she is naturally a darling of the British establishment, is a Palestinian-born academic, physician and author. She has written on Palestinian issues in newspapers and magazines, including The Guardian, The Nation and Journal of Palestine Studies. She claims the “Palestinian State” as her nationality and the PLO as her government, though the family left for Damascus in 1948 to clear the field for the triumphant five Arab armies, then subsequently moved to England, which has treated her much, much better than she and her deliberately Nazi vocabulary deserve. She has been Johnny One-Note about Israel for a very long time — propagandizing for the cause. |
