Mercenaries engage in violent infighting in occupied Mahrah
[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] Hand-to-hand confrontations broke out between recruits from the Saudi-backed ''Dera al-Watan'' factions and coppers from the city of Qishn in Mahrah province, eastern Yemen...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... Informed sources reported that the reason for these festivities was the police's seizure of a truck loaded with 300 cartons of cycle of violences and spare parts on Tuesday. The truck was heading to Socotra via the Qishn port, west of al-Ghaydah city. The sources explained that one of the ''Dera al-Watan'' recruits intended to send the shipment to a merchant in Socotra, and the police tried to confiscate it, but the ''Dera al-Watan'' recruits strongly objected, which led to the matter escalating into verbal altercations and fistfights. These arguments almost turned into armed confrontations near the port, the sources added.
