During a Q&A session at the event, when asked if he would run for U.S. Senate, O'Rourke said, "I'm gonna infer from your question that you do not want Ken Paxton to be your next senator." "If...this is what the people of Texas want—that it's the highest and best use of what I can give you—then yes, I will," O'Rourke said amid loud cheers from the crowd.
