People are increasingly dying from cancer due to alcohol ‐ this group is most at risk
[NYP] A sobering new study has revealed that cancer deaths are on the rise across the United States.The research shows that alcohol-related cancer deaths have nearly doubled from 12,000 a year in 1990 to more than 23,000 a year in 2021. The study — which has not yet been published in a journal but will be presented this week at the American Society of Clinical Oncology’s annual meeting in Chicago — identifies men aged 55 and older as the most at-risk group for these types of deaths.
