Philippine police raise suspicions over chemical shipment
A large shipment of chemicals lying unclaimed in a Philippine customs warehouse for over a year, is raising suspicions that they could be ingredients of bombs. Twenty bags of sodium nitrate, and 30 plastic containers of various acids were found in containers in the warehouse. Investigating officials say the chemicals could be used to make explosives. They have been lying in the warehouse for more than a year because of a lack of any importation papers. This is where it gets interesting. The containers arrived five days before the September 11 terrorist attacks in the United States. Coincidence? A Norwegian who shipped the cargo on behalf of a company in Saudi Arabia, has committed suicide. Another coincidence? The Saudi firm is allegedly associated with the Bin Laden group of companies. What a suprise! Saudis+explosives=Bin Laden Investigations have lead to an unidentified Arab national, who was interested in pursuing a claim, but later discontinued the transaction.
