PI to go back to yakking with MILF...
Bangsamoro Islamic News Agency The stalled peace talks between the Philippine government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) will resume January next year in Malaysia, Mohagher Iqbal, the Front's chief information officer, told the Bangsamoro Islamic News Agency (BINA)today. Iqbal explained that the claim by Eid Kabalu, the MILF military spokesman, that the talks would resume next month, was not categorical. "The decision to resume or when to resume is decided bilaterally by the MILF and the government. One party can propose and the other party can agree or disagree." The two MILF leaders were hoping that an agreement will be signed between the two parties so that peace, justice and development will reign in Mindanao, a region that has not known real peace for centuries.
