Resistance Voice of Afghanistan Begins Broadcasting
Source: NNI
An anti-government radio has started its broadcasting in east Afghanistan's Paktia province, the state news agency BIA reported. The radio station, which named itself "Resistance Voice of Afghanistan," recently broadcast an ultimatum to instigate local people to resist the central government led by President Hamid Karzai.
"Mahmoud! Some guy on the radio said we should resist the central gummint!"
"Damn, Ahmed! Where's my gun?"

The location of the radio, which broadcast with changing frequencies, was not clear, the BIA report said. Afghan Information Minister Sayed Makhdoom Raheen told Xinhua that such anti-government broadcasting was from mobile radio transmitters on vehicles among mountains, covering limited areas. He said the government was concerned about anti-government broadcasting and would take measures against such activities.
"I want to hear the message, too, Ahmed. Tune him up, will ya?"
"Sure... Damn. He's not there anymore."
"Maybe you were mistaken."
"Prob'ly was. Wanna go out for pizza, instead?"
