British Prime Minister Tony Blair said Wednesday, February 5, that Britain would be prepared to go to war with Iraq without a second U.N. resolution if a Security Council member used a âcapriciousâ veto. In a clear reference to veto-wielding France, Blair told parliament that Britain would be prepared to launch military action if âit is clear that Iraq is in material breach, but for some reason someone puts down what I would describe as an unreasonable, capricious use of the veto.â If Jacques has the nerve to use it.
